Lesson 1 introduces the meaning of ICT and its impact to
individuals like us. ICT or Information and Communication Technology is the use
of different gadgets like phones, tablets, laptops, and computers and
communication technologies like the internet. ICT is used to gather information
and communicate to other people around the globe through the use of technology.
This lesson also tackles the evolution of web: from web 1.0
(static web pages) to web 2.0 (dynamic web pages) to web 3.0. There are also
trends in ICT like convergence, social media, mobile technologies, and
assistive media. It also tackles some operating systems like android, IOS, etc.
